CONTACTS

Pin or socket contacts are removable and carry a gold plating finish.
Contact diameter : (1 mm) .039 dia. (U.S.A. size 20) ; dimensions conform to L 54-125 (MS 3190).

CONTACT TERMINATION

Contacts may be either crimped (specification : M 22520/2-01 and M 22520/2-02) or soldered on to the wire ends.

Contacts resistance between pin and socket : less than 0.0020 ohm.
Maximum current rating : function of the number of contacts carrying this current and the permitted temperature increase.
When N contacts permanently carry a current of I amperes, the temperature increase of the connector is approximately :

(3° C) 5.4° F x N where I = 7 amperes

CONNECTOR COUPLING SYSTEM

Connector with 12-19-27-37 and 55 contacts : bayonet-lock type (1/6 turn). Rubber sealing grommets** are available for use with these different types of adapter ; delivered with all connectors, their use is compulsory with plugs and cable connecting plugs.

MECHANICAL DATA

Durability : no damage after 1,000 engagements and disengagements, as in service.
