MINIATURE Series

MAIN FEATURES

This series comprises plugs, receptacles and cable connecting plugs with pin or socket inserts.

CONTACTS

Pin or socket contacts are removable and carry a gold plating finish.
Contact diameter : (1 mm) .039 dia. (U.S.A. size 20) ; dimensions conform to L54125 (MS 3190).

CONTACT TERMINATION

Contacts may be either crimped (specification : M 22520/2.01 and M 22520/2.02) or soldered on to the wire ends.

Max. cross section area for soldered wires : (0.60 sq. mm) 20 AWG
Max. cross section area for crimped wires : (0.93 sq. mm) 18 AWG for 3-7-12-27 and 55 contacts (with crimping plier P/N 5793 160 06)
Max. cross section area for crimped wires : (0.60 sq. mm) 20 AWG for 4-19 and 37 contacts (with crimping plier P/N 5793 160 06)
Max. insulated wire diameter : (2.1 mm) .083 in.

ELECTRICAL DATA

Meeting the requirements of MIL C 26482 A (Tests : NF-C 20-700) (International Specification : CEI 68.1).
Contacts resistance between pin and socket: less than 0.0020 ohm.
Maximum current rating : function of the number of contacts carrying this current and the permitted temperature increase. When N contacts permanently carry a current of I amperes, the temperature increase of the connector is approximately :
(1°C)1.8°F x N where I = 4 amperes
(3° C) 5.4° F x N where I = 7 amperes

'ent Part Nos, certain types of connectors are available with two alternative keying dispositions. This feature will -ig adjacent connectors with similar contact arrangement.

CONNECTION COUPLING SYSTEM

3-4 and 7 contacts : push-pull type.
12-19-27-37 and 55 contacts : bayonet-lock type (1/6 turn).

IHANICAL DATA

Durability : no damage after 1,000 engagements and disengagements, as in service.
